Time flies! Inhorgenta Europe 2010 and Baselworld 2010 are history, but we’d still like to stop, and, before summer takes over, reflect about the past five months of this year. These were outstanding and groundbreaking five months! Already the first watch fair of the year was our most successful ever: Sincere recognition by the industry’s traders and consumers, continually rising confidence in the a.b.art brand, nomination for the German Design Award 2010, convincing new models – all of these are reasons why the Baselworld 2010 showed great results, too, after the Inhorgenta Europe. This year could mean the final break-through and success for a.b.art. And therefore, in the background we’re working even harder and are trying to continuously improve. We’re looking forward to the next chapters in the a.b.art story and hope that you will now enjoy reading the latest a.b.art news.

Review Baselworld 2010

The same experience made at the Inhorgenta Europe we made again at the Baselworld. It was quite obvious during the eight days that many Swiss tradespeople took advantage of the opportunity to come and visit us at our a.b.art booth, which of course had direct consequences for our order books. Orders were up by 70% compared to last year. The leader series were O, OC, E, EL, ES, I and KLD. Especially the new models of series O and OC in all black and red were very well received. The many international visitors at the booth were a clear expression for a.b.art’s rising reputation with foreign importers. This lead to the entry in the Ukrainian market, and retailers from Sochi, the venue of the 2014 Winter Olympics, seized the opportunity to test the Russian market.

Limited-edition a.b.art special 2010

Just as with the red-dot special edition watch in 2009 a.b.art would like to bring out a limited-edition series of 300 watches in 2010 to repeat the wonderful success of last year. Here’s a hint: a.b.art will be working with luminescent material for the 2010 special, using a mechanical movement (automatic). The official launch will take place in September and distribution is planned for October 2010. Dare devils can set claim to their favorite number between 1 and 300 now. Our new catalogue and the new layout for ads had been presented at the Baselworld, and now we’re glad to also offer the new posters (594 x 841 mm).
